THOUSAND OAKS : 4 Members Named to Hospital Board
Los Robles Regional Medical Center has appointed four new members to its board of trustees, hospital officials announced this week.
The board of trustees is an advisory panel that sets direction for Los Robles, examines quality control issues and oversees the credentialing and qualifications of the hospital’s medical staff, said Carol Freeman, vice president of planning and development.
The new trustees are Westlake City Councilman James Emmons, Los Robles neurosurgeon Robert E. Haynie, Los Robles radiologist Roselyn Richman, and D. Mark Weinberg, executive vice president for Blue Cross of California Co.’s Consumer Services Group.
Trustees are nominated by the hospital’s medical staff, other trustees and by trustee and Hospital Administrator Robert Quist, who solicits recommendations from members of the community, Freeman said. The board then votes from among the nominations, she said.
Trustees are elected to three-year terms, Freeman said. The board has 15 members, nine of whom are doctors, she said.
