--The Anteaters win again.

The 2,213 at the Bren Center witnessed them all Saturday night as Irvine routed Nevada, 99-70, to snap a seven-game Big West losing streak. The Anteaters (6-14, 3-9) jumped out to a 17-2 lead and rolled to the victory, dominating every facet of the game. Irvine had 23 more rebounds than the Wolf Pack (9-12, 5-8).

“We did some soul-searching,” Coach Rod Baker said, “and decided it was really important that we do it tonight.”
