Need for Rail System
* If the freeway overpasses had been strengthened, as they should have been, we would be unaware of the benefits of rail transportation. Perhaps this recent earthquake was a blessing in disguise. Now we all realize how much we need rail transportation and how it mitigated our transportation needs with the freeways that are now unusable. For the year or so before the freeways can be rebuilt, we can rejoice that someone had the foresight to initiate this rail service. What would we do without it?
