COSTA MESA —
A Santa Ana man killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night has been identified as 22-year-old Emigdio Flores Marquez, authorities said Wednesday.
Marquez was northbound on Anton Boulevard at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his motorcycle, slid along a curb and then was thrown off the bike into a tree, said Police Sgt. David Walker.
Marquez, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene.
After he was thrown, Marquez’s motorcycle careened another 100 feet before it crashed into a tree.
