Household Toxics Roundup Is Today
County residents looking to toss their old batteries, paint and pesticides, will get a chance to do so legally today at a Household Hazardous Waste Roundup in Calabasas.
The roundup, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Calabasas Park Centre, was scheduled to encourage residents to dispose properly of household wastes such as leftover motor oil, acids and herbicides.
Each driver can dispose of up to five gallons or 50 pounds of waste and are asked to bring items labeled and in sturdy containers.
