Olympian Lilley Joins Ducks

John Lilley, who played for the U.S. Olympic hockey team in Lillehammer, will join the Mighty Ducks at practice today after being called up from minor league affiliate San Diego.

Lilley, 21, signed a multiyear contract with the Ducks last week and has appeared in two games with San Diego. He had two goals and an assist Saturday against Cleveland in his second game.

Lilley, who played right wing for the U.S. team but is listed as a center by the Ducks, had three goals and an assist in eight Olympic games and 50 points during a 56-game pre-Olympic tour. He played junior hockey last season with Seattle of the Western Hockey League. He played college hockey at Boston University.

Center Anatoli Semenov, who recently resumed practicing after being sidelined with a sore left elbow, suffered a slight strain in his left hamstring Monday and is listed as day-to-day.
