Volunteers Sought to Help Rebuild Homes
The Ventura County chapter of Habitat for Humanity is seeking volunteers to help poor residents repair their earthquake-damaged homes.
Participants will help rebuild the homes of low-income residents who have not been able to get assistance.
In keeping with Habitat’s self-help philosophy, homeowners will be asked to pitch in with the repairs.
Habitat will hold an organizational meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Community Church, 355 D St., Fillmore.
A meeting will be held in Simi Valley at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Simi Valley Evangelical Church, 4680 Alamo St.
For information, call (800) 266-7047.
