Launching its first “Vision and Visionaries” celebration to recognize distinguished alumni and community volunteers, Cal State Fullerton will honor six people tonight.

About 400 people have been invited to the Titan Pavilion on campus for the black-tie-optional celebration, which begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner. “Vision and Visionaries” is hosted by Cal State Fullerton President Milton A. Gordon and his wife, Dr. Margaret Faulwell Gordon.

Jack Lindquist, newly retired Disneyland executive, will be the master of ceremonies.

Harry R. Gianneschi, vice president for university advancement, said the celebration will become an annual event. “We are so proud of the achievements of our alumni and deeply indebted to the university’s volunteers for their many contributions that a public celebration is in order,” he said.
