OXNARD : 2nd Shooting Victim Identified
A murder victim whose body was found earlier this week in a Kern County alfalfa field has been identified as an Oxnard man who was reported missing March 6, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Department.
The body of Martin Orozco, 26, was found alongside the remains of a Kern County man in a field in Delano, north of Bakersfield, said Cmdr. Don Youngblood. Both had been shot numerous times, Youngblood said.
A farm worker discovered the bodies about 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Youngblood said. The men had apparently been dead from 10 days to two weeks when their bodies were found, he said.
The second victim was identified as Rogelio Negrete, 26, of Shafter. He also had been reported missing March 6, Youngblood said.
