Volunteers Needed for Polling Places
The June primary is fast approaching and Ventura County’s elections division is seeking volunteers to work polling places.
The division is seeking up to 2,000 volunteers to serve as election officers at polling places June 7, elections assistant Georgia Dennehey said.
“People just aren’t thinking about elections right now,” she said. “So we’re trying to get the word out that we need volunteers.”
To qualify to volunteer, you must be a U. S. citizen, at least 18 years old and registered to vote or eligible to register.
Election officers must be willing to work the full day and must attend a training session.
For information, contact Dennehey at 654-2733.
