ALBUM REVIEW : Pleasant, Pliant and Forgettable

* 1/2 Tim McGraw, “Not a Moment Too Soon,” Curb. So you think McGraw’s hit single “Indian Outlaw” is as lunkheaded as they come? Keep listening--that affront to Native Americans gives way to a song in which a heartbroke cowpoke finds himself “messed up in Mexico and livin’ on refried dreams.” A pleasant, pliant voice is the one thing McGraw has going for him, but it finds little worth singing in this sophomore outing.

New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
