BREA : ‘Taste’ Fund-Raiser to Be Held Sunday
The junior auxiliary of the Assistance League of Fullerton will hold its 15th annual “Taste of the Town” fund-raiser Sunday at the Brea Mall to raise money for needy children who cannot afford dental care.
The event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. More than 800 people are expected to attend.
About 25 local restaurants, including Ye Olde Wood Ship of Fullerton, Bella Caffe of Brea and Portofino’s of La Habra, will provide samples of their specialties.
The cost is $40, which covers “all the food, beer and wine you can consume,” event officials said.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Junior Auxiliary Dental Health Program, which pays for dental treatment for children.
The program was started in 1970, and more than 100 children received free dental services through the junior auxiliary last year.
The event’s dress code will be cocktail attire.
