LOS ANGELES : New General Manager Named for Coliseum

Share

Spectacor, the facilities manager at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the adjacent Sports Arena, this week announced the appointment of its fifth general manager for the facilities in the six years it has run them.

Patrick Lynch, 37, who has been serving as general manager of the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany, N.Y., will replace Jay Hagerman on Friday. Hagerman will become general manager of the Mobile Civic Center in Mobile, Ala. Coliseum sources said that Hagerman, who is originally from the South, had requested the transfer.

Also leaving the Coliseum-Sports Arena management team is public relations spokeswoman Cindy Rubin, who has accepted a position with a South Bay public relations firm. A replacement for her will be named shortly, interim spokesman Robert Schwartz said.

Spectacor’s managers have had little direct responsibility for the earthquake repair work at the Coliseum, which remains under the leadership of the Coliseum Commission’s project director, Don C. Webb.
