FULLERTON : City Designates Curb for Disabled Parking
Dana Bassett will soon see the curbside in front of her West Avenue house designated a disabled parking area so she can more easily help her disabled daughter.
The City Council last week unanimously approved the blue curb to make it easier for Bassett to move her daughter, who must use a wheelchair, into and out of the family’s specially equipped van. Only people with special permits may leave their vehicles in a blue-painted parking area.
City officials said Bassett needs the special parking area because others park in front of Bassett’s home, forcing her to park in an alley behind the house.
