A 17-year-old Pasadena boy was stabbed several times and another boy was robbed of $53 and his beeper in the parking lot at Six Flags Magic Mountain, sheriff’s deputies said Sunday.

The youths were assaulted shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday as they waited for a tram to take them to their car, said Sheriff’s Deputy Diane Hecht.

The 17-year-old was stabbed in his shoulder, rib cage and ear and was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released Sunday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The other boy, 16, also from Pasadena, was taken to the same hospital and treated for minor injuries and released, Hecht said.

Authorities have no suspects in the incident and are not releasing the victims’ names.

In an unrelated incident at the theme park, a 17-year-old suspected gang member was arrested and charged with strong-arm robbery after allegedly shoplifting shirts from a souvenir store at the park.

The juvenile was detained by Magic Mountain security officers around 9 p.m. Saturday, after initially resisting, Hecht said. The youth was turned over to sheriff’s deputies and is being held at San Fernando Juvenile Hall in Sylmar.
