Emulex Corp.: The Costa Mesa maker of computer networking products posted a loss of $96,000, or 2 cents a share, for its latest quarter. That included a loss of $315,000 from discontinued operations and $93,000 from disposal of discontinued operations. For the same period a year earlier, the company reported a loss of $1.5 million, or 26 cents a share. Sales for the company’s third quarter, which ended March 27, were up 30% to $16.2 million from $12.5 million. For the first three quarters of the fiscal year, the company reported a loss of $16 million, or $2.89 a share, compared to a profit of $2.7 million, or 48 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Nine-month sales rose 8% to $43.2 million from $40 million.
