WATTS : Post Office Puts Watts on Its Map

The U.S. Postal Service has officially designated Watts a mailing address for certain ZIP codes.

Residents in the 90002, 90059, 90061 and 90044 ZIP codes can now write Watts as a return address.

The move by the Postal Service follows a request from City Councilman Rudy Svorinich, who represents the 15th Council District.

Svorinich made the request in January, urging Postmaster General Marvin Runyon to recognize the area because it would “acknowledge the pride, hard work and respect it truly deserves.”
