Lack of Trust
Let me express how much I appreciate Ventura City Councilman Jim Monahan’s “Father Knows Best” attitude toward the residents of Ventura County.
He has no faith on our advisory vote (on a water desalination plant) as we “were confused on what we were voting on.” Isn’t it nice to have our elected officials listen and have trust in our intelligence?
But, since “there was a lot of misinformation circulating during the campaign,” we can be secure in the knowledge that the information from Mr. Monahan and the state water proponents was perfectly clear and honest. Therefore, all the “misinformation” must have come from the desalination proponents.
Gee, thanks Mr. Monahan for taking me by the hand and, with your level-headed clear vision and experience, setting me straight. When you are up for reelection, I hope the “confused and misinformed” residents of the city of Ventura remember your attitude.
