A national day of mourning has been declared today , the day of former President Richard Nixon’s funeral.
* Federal offices: Closed.
* Federal courts: Courts in Los Angeles will remain open, with each District Court judge deciding whether to recess.
* Mail: No regular mail delivery today. Express mail and special delivery items will be delivered.
* Stock market: The New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq will be closed today. The Chicago Mercantile Exchange plans to close its stock index futures and options contracts today, but the Chicago Board of Trade plans a regular trading session.
