EL MONTE: Thirty-two men and three women were arrested in an 11-hour sting operation targeting prostitution in El Monte. The operation began around noon Wednesday in the 11100 block of Garvey Avenue with the arrests of three women for soliciting acts of prostitution from undercover male deputies. Undercover female deputies then posed as prostitutes in the same area of Garvey Avenue and the 32 men were arrested for soliciting acts of prostitution, deputies said. The operation was conducted by the Sheriff’s Department’s Special Investigations Bureau and El Monte police.

PASADENA: Two men who allegedly robbed the Bank of America at 1687 E. Colorado Blvd. Thursday were arrested after a high-speed chase down the 210, 134 and 5 freeways. Bobby Sehorn, 32, of Los Angeles and Michael Kilgore, 25, of Apple Valley entered the bank about 9:45 a.m. and allegedly held up four tellers. The robbers escaped with about $7,900, which was recovered.

PASADENA: Three men robbed a stereo components store in the 400 block of North Lake Avenue about 2 p.m. Monday, police said. The three tied up two employees at gunpoint and stole about $10,000 worth of audio equipment. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.

POMONA: An 18-year-old shot in a gang dispute at a Burger King suffered minor wounds and was treated and released Friday. Michael Donalina and a number of friends were at the fast-food restaurant in the 2100 block of South Garey Avenue about 10:45 a.m. when they were approached by four teen-agers who attacked them, police said. Donalina was kicked in the head and shot in the forearm during the fighting. He was taken to Pomona Valley Medical Center.

POMONA: A Pomona man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Monday after an accident Sunday in which his truck spun out of control on a Pomona street and struck two pedestrians as they stood in front of a Sizzler restaurant, police said. Miguel Lopez, 35, was booked for felony drunk driving and held on $30,000 bail. Leticia Castenada, 16, of Pomona was pinned under the truck and suffered severe injuries to her hand and arm, police said. The truck also struck Elizabeth Caputo, 23, of Chino, who suffered a bruised hip, police said. Lopez suffered minor injuries.

VALINDA: Deputies acting on a tip arrested a man Sunday for allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab out of his home at in the 1800 block of Aileron Avenue. Moses Garcia, 36, was arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance after Sheriff’s Department deputies searched the dwelling and found narcotics paraphernalia and chemicals, deputies said. Garcia was booked at the Industry sheriff’s station and bail was set at $500,000. Three juveniles who were found at Garcia’s home were released to the custody of relatives.
