Fire Kills Four Children

WILLIAMSTON, N. C. —
A fire filled the second floor of an apartment with smoke Friday, killing four children in their bedrooms, authorities said. The children, ages 14, 5, 2 1/2 and 18 months, all died of smoke inhalation, Fire Chief James Bob Peele said. The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
