SANTA FE SPRINGS : Clerk Slain by Gunman in Computer Store Holdup
A gunman Tuesday killed a clerk at a computer store in Santa Fe Springs during a robbery, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The gunman, posing as a customer, shot Hyman Wiener, 56, as the clerk rang up a sale of a keyboard extension cord, Deputy George Ducoulombier said.
Wiener, a Long Beach resident who had worked at Dynamic Computer for 30 months, died at the scene about 10:30 a.m. Ducoulombier said several computers were missing from the store.
