Teen-ager Shot While Driving
A Thousand Oaks teen-ager was shot in the shoulder Monday afternoon as he drove east in the 1400 block of Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.
Vincent Packer, 17, drove to Los Robles Regional Medical Center about 4 p.m. after one of two teen-agers in a passing car pointed a small handgun at him and shot him in his left shoulder, authorities said.
Packer was treated for a single gunshot wound and released, sheriff’s deputies said.
Both suspects were identified only as 17-year-olds. The case is being investigated as attempted murder, Detective Ernie Montagna said.
