IBM Introduces New PC Models: In an effort to recapture revenue lost due to its nagging supply problems, International Business Machines Corp.’s PC Co. has launched several new personal computer models. The world’s largest computer maker, which has been bedeviled by parts shortages, also said meeting demand is its top priority. IBM introduced three new models of its hot-selling ThinkPad notebook computer, including a lower-priced notebook to fill a gap in its product line. The company rolled out a new line of ValuePoint PCs, the Performance Series, which uses the fastest Intel 486 chips. They are higher-priced and targeted to large corporate customers.
