What is it with TV? They continue to show earthquake-related subjects: special programs, segments on the news and, in the regular shows, teaser advertisements. Aren’t they going to allow us to recuperate from the emotional effects of the earthquake?
Families are having a time trying to get their nerves under control and trying to keep their kids calmed down, and right in the middle of shows here comes this teaser ad saying, in effect, “Are you prepared for the next big one?” And then they are always interviewing these scientists who are spending millions of dollars of taxpayer money trying to find out when the next one is going to hit. And when it comes down to the bottom line, they say, “Any time in the next 50 years of so. Maybe in the next 100 years.”
