Fight the Ojai Tower

Did you know that the people of Ojai, Oak View, Meiners Oaks, Casitas Springs, Santa Paula and north Ventura are being exposed to radiation daily?

Thousands of men, women, children and family pets are being exposed daily to unnecessary radiation. Thanks to our government.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, the National Weather Service erected a very powerful microwave radiation tower in a populated area of Ojai. The government admits that the tower’s radiation can be harmful. It didn’t stop them--it was built anyway.

There was no environmental impact study, there was no local notification and the federal government condemned land that belonged to an 86-year-old woman. This was done because of a court ruling that prevented the federal government from illegally using a private road to build this massive microwave transmitter tower. They wanted the land, so they seized it.

We all must fight this. This tower may not be in your neighborhood or mine, but we must show the government that we will not sit by and let them expose innocent people to radiation.

We must let them know that we want this tower moved to a more remote and suitable area, far enough away from residents so that there would be no health risks.

We must not cover our eyes. This could be in our neighborhood. We must all get involved.

Please write to Rep. (Elton) Gallegly, Sen. (Dianne) Feinstein, Sen. (Barbara) Boxer. We must support our neighbors in the Ojai area and let the government know that we will not sit back and let them do this to our neighbors.
