California IN BRIEF : STOCKTON : Guard Found Slain Execution-Style

A security guard at a subdivision construction site in north Stockton was found shot to death execution-style, and a friend was run over by a car and killed a few feet away, police said. Sgt. Billy Wykert said the guard at the A. G. Spano site was found bound, gagged and shot in the back of the head inside a trailer. The second victim was run over outside a fence that surrounds the construction site. The guard was identified as Larry Loehr and the other dead man as Eugene Cats. Both were from Stockton. The killer or killers used the second man’s car to knock down part of the fence and apparently fled in that vehicle, Wykert added. The car was found abandoned and burned.
