Share

In an effort to help those who might not be able to pay the full cost of a mammogram, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will provide free breast-cancer screenings on two days in South County for qualifying women.

The screenings, which will be scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., will be held June 27 at the San Clemente Senior Center, 242 Avenida del Mar, San Clemente, and July 13 at the South County Community Clinic, 33081 Calle Perfecto, Suite A, San Juan Capistrano.

Officials with the San Clemente-based foundation welcome donations from patients to help pay for the service. Also, volunteers are needed to help check in patients.
