Ventura County sheriff’s deputies have arrested three Los Angeles County men they believe to be responsible for a rash of car burglaries in the Oak Park, Agoura and Thousand Oaks areas over the past two months.

Juan Campos, 18, William Villegas, 28, and Jose Cisneros, 26, all of Los Angeles, are scheduled to be arraigned on burglary violations Thursday.

The three were arrested early Saturday in Oak Park after they ran a stop sign at the intersection of Sunnycrest Drive and Kanan Road. When deputies stopped them, they found several car stereos and burglary tools in their car, Detective Joe Braga said.

Braga said he has linked at least five car burglaries to the three, and suspects they may have been responsible for at least 30 to 40 car burglaries in the Oak Park, Agoura and Thousand Oaks areas.

“We’ve been getting hit big time,” said Braga, who said he suspects the burglars specialize in car stereos and cellular phones. “They’re not fancy; they pull and grab and go.”

Braga, who is still looking for other victims, asks that anyone who was burglarized and who saw a 1981 black Toyota two-door coupe in the area during the last two months call him at (805) 494-8223.
