A 16-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder shortly after he allegedly fired more than 20 rounds into a passing car, wounding two passengers, police said Tuesday.

Police said the shooting occurred as the two victims, both teen-age girls, were leaving a party near Laramore Lane and Lewis Street just before midnight Monday. Authorities said the shooting was gang-related.

The girls were treated at Garden Grove Hospital and Medical Center. One girl was shot in the left leg and the other was wounded in the back.
