The selection and crowning of this year’s Miss Orange County U.S.A. and Miss Orange County Teen U.S.A. will be broadcast on local cable television in north Orange County today.
The two-hour program can be seen on Comcast Cablevision Channel 55 in Buena Park and on Channel 65 in Fullerton and Placentia.
The telecast begins at 7 p.m. The program will be replayed July 6 and July 12, also at 7 p.m.
Bob Keller, executive producer of the show, said it will be the first telecast of the pageant, which was held in May in Brea and in which 23 contestants participated.
Cari DeBoard of Tustin was voted Miss Orange County U.S.A., and Valerie Masse of Buena Park won the Miss Orange County Teen U.S.A. title.
They will represent the county in the Miss California U.S.A. contest on Labor Day at Cal State Long Beach.
Winners of the state contest will move on to the Miss U.S.A. and Miss Teen U.S.A. pageants later this year.
The teen candidates range in age from 14 to 17, and Miss U.S.A. contestants are 18 to 26 years old.
