CAMARILLO : Vandals Destroy Public Landscaping

Share

Vandals have destroyed an estimated $10,000 worth of public landscaping in Camarillo’s Mission Oaks neighborhood in recent weeks, officials said Wednesday.

In the spate of incidents, vandals have ripped out newly installed drought-resistant plants and irrigation equipment in a $120,000 street beautification project roughly bounded by Woodcreek Road, Santa Rosa Road, Oak Canyon Road and Mission Oaks Boulevard, said Ernie Villasenor, the city’s street superintendent.

The acts of vandalism occurred late last month and no arrests had been made as of Wednesday, authorities said.
