CALABASAS : Fair to Offer Support for Disabled Youths
A free fair to connect young people with disabilities to area support services will be held Sunday at Soka University of America.
Sponsored by Special Parents Advocacy, Training and Support group of Las Virgenes, the free fair will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the campus cafeteria, located at 26800 Mulholland Highway.
SPATS is a nonprofit group that offers support for young people up to 22 years old with physical, emotional or learning disabilities.
Gail Paplanus, SPATS coordinator, said the fair will present a “mishmash” of information on services from about 16 different agencies that serve the north San Fernando Valley and east Ventura County.
The afternoon event will also feature a guided nature walk, which will begin at 2 p.m.
