Bora Milutinovic would welcome being asked back as U.S. soccer coach, he said Sunday at the Sweden-Romania game at Palo Alto.

Asked if he would return, Milutinovic said: “I hope so.

“It depends on who is going to be the new president,” he added, alluding to Alan Rothenberg’s eventual successor as head of the U.S. federation. “I do not think there is going to be a problem, but first we must see what the president wishes. I would very much hope to continue the work that we have just begun.”
