Don Shula said this might be his final season as coach of the Miami Dolphins because he hasn’t decided whether he wants a contract extension from new owner H. Wayne Huizenga. Shula’s current three-year contract expires after this season. An extension would likely be through 1996.

“I can’t sit here and say I want to coach three more years, and I can’t say I want to coach this year and no more,” Shula said. “I don’t feel at this time that I have to make that decision, and I think Wayne understands that.”
