WORLD CUP USA ’94 / THE FINALS : Spotlight : GOUGING, ITALIAN STYLE
Tickets for Sunday’s World Cup final cost purchasers $375 Wednesday. Thursday, the price went up to $425. At least that was the case at one brokerage outlet, Ticket Time, at Pasadena’s Hilton Hotel.
Why the price jump?
“It was Italy winning,” one of the sales agents said. “As soon as they won Wednesday, the price went up $50.”
