Free-agent forward Dominique Wilkins has removed the Clippers from the list of teams he is considering, Steve Kauffman, Wilkins’ agent, said Monday.

“I haven’t talked to the Clippers in ages,” Kauffman said. “Is anybody coaching that team yet? How do you get a free agent to sign with your team when you don’t have a coach?”

Kauffman said that Wilkins, who became an unrestricted free agent on July 1, was contacted by 11 teams, and is weighing offers from six, including the Lakers and Boston Celtics.

Federal Judge Kevin T. Duffy on Monday lifted a temporary restraining order that prohibited teams from signing free agents, but Kauffman said he was unsure whether Wilkins would sign immediately or wait until a new collective bargaining agreement is reached.

Wilkins, 34, was seeking a $21-million, three-year deal from the Clippers, who originally offered him an $8-million, two-year deal.

Clipper spokesman Joe Safety said the club, which recently acquired forward Malik Sealy from the Indiana Pacers and rookies Lamond Murray of California and Eric Piatkowski of Nebraska, had already decided to explore other options.

The Clippers can use Wilkins’ 1993-94 salary slot of $3.5 million to sign another free agent.
