Agency Investigating GM Brake Systems: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it has received 156 complaints involving the anti-lock braking systems on 1991-94 Chevrolet and GMC S-10 pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles. In some cases, the agency said, the brakes failed to prevent the wheels’ locking up; in others, the master cylinder failed. Fifty-seven accidents and 22 injuries have been attributed to the problem so far. The system in question is on 1.4 million vehicles.
