Where Are They Now? : JACKIE WARNER
If ever an Angel “caught lightning in a bottle,” it was Warner. As a rookie outfielder in 1966, the club’s first year at Anaheim Stadium, Warner hit three game-winning home runs in the team’s first 10 games and was batting nearly .350 when he suffered a torn ligament in his hand while taking a swing.
Warner was soon sent to the minor leagues and never played in the majors again, and retired in 1970 with seven home runs in his 37 big league games. Now 49, Warner lives with his wife, Nancy, in Apple Valley and earns a living by driving a big-rig truck.
