Two teen-agers robbed a doughnut shop in Camarillo early Tuesday morning, with one of them holding up the only employee on duty with what appeared to be a handgun hidden under his shirt, police said.

The thieves took $38 and a dozen doughnuts from Winchell’s Donut Shop at 455 Carmen Drive, said Dina Flick, a manager at the shop.

About 12:25 a.m., the robbers, believed to be between 16 and 18 years old, entered the store and asked to see some doughnuts, authorities said. Suddenly, one robber leaped over the counter, reached under his shirt and pointed at the store employee, as if holding a gun, police said.

Both suspects were described as white males with medium builds, police said. One was wearing a black bandanna on his head, a dark-colored shirt and baggy pants. The other had blond hair, blue eyes, was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and baggy pants.
