The family of a missing private security guard said Monday they are setting up a trust fund to aid in the search for Michael Jerome Williams, who disappeared July 26.

Williams’ father, the Rev. Frank Williams, assistant pastor at Friendship Baptist Church in Long Beach, announced the formation of a family trust, part of which would be used as a reward for locating 32-year-old man.

The family also announced that it has hired a private investigator to help locate Williams, who was last seen leaving his Santa Ana home for Newport Beach to pick up his paycheck and new security guard uniform.

Last week, Anaheim police said they stopped three teen-agers who were in a rental car that Williams had been using while his was being repaired. A juvenile driving the white 1991 Ford Taurus was detained because he was wanted for an outstanding warrant, police said. The others were questioned, then released.

Williams is described as African American, 5 feet 8, 170 pounds and missing two front teeth. Anyone with information is asked to contact Santa Ana police at (714) 834-4801.
