TOPANGA : Town Meeting Set on Land Transfer Plan
A possible land transfer involving the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy and the University of California will be discussed at the Topanga Canyon Town Council meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. today at the Community House, 1440 Topanga Canyon Blvd.
A proposal to transfer land in the Red Rock and Stunt Ranch parklands will be discussed.
The plan was proposed to accommodate a University of California research project in Stunt Ranch, which is just over the ridge from Topanga. Red Rock was to be used as a housing site for university staff.
Questions on the project and its future will be answered by Debbie Elliott-Fisk, director of the University of California’s Natural Reserve System and UCLA biology professor Phil Rundel.
