MISSION VIEJO : Saddleback Radio Seeks Musical Talent
Saddleback College’s radio station is seeking musical performers for its show that airs the work of up-and-coming talent.
The radio station, KSBR-FM, is accepting tapes from solo musicians and groups that are not under contract to any record company, and whose music fits into the station’s contemporary jazz format.
Night and weekend specialty shows on the station also feature reggae, folk, bluegrass, ragtime, rock, Latin jazz, blues, hip-hop and big-band music.
Terry Wedel, the station’s program director, said new artists often have trouble getting their music played to a wider audience. Wedel said music for the station’s “Unsigned Talent” segments will be played during KSBR’s regular format or during the appropriate specialty shows.
Artists who are interested should send a high-quality cassette tape, biography and telephone number to KSBR-FM, 28000 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, CA 92692.
Information: (714) 582-5727.
