Hits Magazine Tip of the Week

The music industry rumor mill is churning about the future of former Elektra Records Chairman Robert Krasnow, who resigned three weeks ago following the appointment of Doug Morris as president and chief operating officer of Elektra parent company Warner Music Group. Insiders say Krasnow, who is close to a settlement of his Warner Music Group contract, has had discussions with industry titan David Geffen, who is nearing the end of his contract with MCA. Another rumor has Krasnow becoming CEO of Bertelsmann Music Group’s North American operations--a job he reportedly turned down while at Elektra.
