OC HIGH: STUDENT NEWS AND VIEWS : Literary Teens Have Their Say in Writes of Passage Magazine

GREENWICH, Conn. — Writes of Passage is a new national teen-age literary magazine developed to give junior high and high school students a national forum in which to express themselves through creative writing.
The premiere issue for spring-summer 1994 ($5.95) consists of poems and short stories from 40 teen-agers representing 15 states. Also included are brief biographies of each student published, an interview with a well-known young adult novelist and an ongoing story created by combining different submissions, called To be continued . . .
Writes of Passage Inc. is an educational, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting creative expression through teen-age reading and writing. The founders and editors of the magazine are Laura Hoffman and Wendy Mass, who were roommates at Tufts University.

Writes of Passage is available by subscription. A one-year-subscription is $12. Two issues are scheduled for fall-winter 1994-95 and spring-summer 1995.
