Share

The 1995 Orange County Fair will run July 7-23 and will include a salute to the horticulture industry, officials said this week. That’s the science of growing flowers, fruits, vegetables and shrubs.

The 103rd annual fair also will include exhibits and events involving goats. The animals played a role in the formation of Costa Mesa, which was known in the late 19th Century as Goat Hill.

Displays of flowers and plants also are planned for next year’s event, which will include the usual carnival rides, games and livestock competitions.
