Blockbuster Shareholders Revive Suit Against Viacom Merger: The plaintiffs’ lawyers will ask a Delaware judge to schedule a hearing next month, according to attorneys. The individual shareholders, who filed six lawsuits shortly after the transaction was announced in January, are seeking a preliminary injunction to derail the merger. The case had been dormant since April because the stock-swap merger had been given up for dead when Viacom’s stock price fell. Viacom’s stock has rebounded since June 1, prompting Blockbuster’s board last week to back away from its threats to scuttle the merger agreement. The shareholders maintain that the acquisition price is too low.
