OUTLOOK

Craven lost starting quarterback Jeff DePippo (602 yards rushing, 12 touchdowns) and running back Damien Cook (794 yards, eight touchdowns) to graduation, but Summers was a part-time starter last year. The biggest plus is that 25 lettermen are returning, so Pacifica might have more depth than any team in the league. If the football team can come close to matching the Southern Section Division III-A champion basketball team’s enthusiasm and confidence, Pacifica should make a strong run at the playoffs but probably doesn’t have enough talent to challenge for the league title.
