OUTLOOK

After struggling through some rough seasons in the Sea View League, Tustin has a good chance to qualify for the playoffs in the new league’s first season. Ellis begins his second season in control of the Tillers with lots of talent on offense. Timone gained valuable experience as the backup quarterback last season and is prepared to take over the lead role, Ellis said. Timone has a strong arm and good instincts. “We’ve got experience at quarterback,” Ellis said. “That’s one of our strengths.” Tustin’s receivers are another source of strength. Roberts and Curry are fast and make the big catches. Wilson provides Timone with a big target for tough, short-yardage receptions. Many of the offensive linemen are varsity newcomers, but the group shows promise. Staubly and Ray are big and physical. Wilson and Stadler should anchor the Tillers’ defense. They are strong and quick.
