The Los Angeles city branch library in Granada Hills is scheduled to reopen Tuesday after undergoing repairs for earthquake damage.
Workers put in carpeting, air conditioning, new roofing and new ceiling lights, upgraded the electrical system and repainted the building.
The library, at 10640 Petit Ave., will be open Mondays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 8 p.m. and Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The North Hollywood regional library and the Woodland Hills branch remain closed because of earthquake damage, though both are expected to start serving patrons again soon.
The Los Feliz branch will reopen in a temporary site in three to four months. The previous location was abandoned after the Jan. 17 earthquake, and plans were already under way for a new building.
